Abstract:

High Definition Mapping of road infrastructure is a key factor enabling technology for autonomous vehicles. In this talk, I will outline the basic principles of vision-based mapping and describe Qualcomm’s Drive Data Platform.

Speaker Bio:
Ravi Teja Sukhavasi received the undergraduate degree from IIT Kanpur, India, in 2007 and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, CA, USA, in 2008 and 2012, respectively, all in electrical engineering. He has been with Qualcomm Research, San Diego, CA, USA, since 2012 where he has contributed to technologies ranging from the first Gigabit LTE modem to sensor fusion for self-driving cars
