Title: Computer Vision Engineer/Scientist
Responsibilities: AT Tesla, the Computer Vision Engineer/Scientist develops and applies state of the art computer vision technologies to solve cutting-edge problems, including Autopilot and more. We are a well-focused and super interdisciplinary team. You have the opportunities to work closely with many domain experts to fulfill Tesla’s mission.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define imaging system requirements
- Investigate and prototype image processing and computer vision algorithms, such as object detection and recognition
- Work with machine learning team to define the hybrid solution of machine learning vs traditional CV algorithms
- Develop software to perform these tasks in real time
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with image processing and computer vision algorithms
- Experience with computer vision libraries, e.g. OpenCV
- Familiarity with image processing pipeline
- Good skills at C/C++, Python, Matlab, or similar tools
- Exposure to optical concepts and designs
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms.
- Experience with OpenCL GPU programming is a plus, not required
- Experience in deep learning is a plus, not required
Education:
- MS/PhD in a relevant field (EE, CS, Optical Engineering or Physics), or BS with 3+ years industry experiences
