Kummel Research Group

The Kummel research group has an opening for a master's student for a 1-year project with a focus on high-k oxide development for low power electronic devices. Student will gain experience in semiconductor device fabrication and characterization with state of art equipment in UCSD’s Nano3 cleanroom facility. The student will be trained for first 3 months then will be hired 20 hours/week and receive graduate research units, be eligible for co-authorship on journal papers, and have data to present at undergraduate research conferences.

Qualified candidates are expected to: 1) Be enrolled full-time in one of the Physics, MSE, ECE, MATS NanoEng, or related programs; 2) Student should have GPA of 3.5 or above. 3) Should be available for a year full time including Summer 2018. 4) Have knowledge of semiconductor physics and processing technology.
