Abstract

This presentation will discuss the challenges designing and testing highly integrated low cost SOC products for the 60GHz band. Products discussed include a high data rate SOC with phased array front-end and a high resolution short range radar SOC. Topics will include radio architecture overview, self- calibration, designing for reliability and testing challenges.

Seminar Speaker Bio
Lars Mucke received the M.S. degree from the Technical University of Denmark in 1986. From 1986 to 1991 he worked for Bruel & Kjaer in Denmark designing an RF front-end for a spectrum analyzer. In 1991 he moved to San Diego. In San Diego he has worked on CDMA for Nokia Mobile Phones, Bluetooth and TV tuner SOCs for Silicon Wave Inc, Ultra-Wideband SOCs for Staccato Communications, MOCA for Entropic Communications. He has been with Huawei since 2014, where he is an RF Systems Architect designing RF solutions for 60GHz+ SOCs.
