The ECE Department attempts to support all full-time graduate students at the Ph.D. level. Financial support is available to Ph.D. students in the form of fellowships, TAs/Readers/Tutors (IAs) , and graduate student research assistantships (GSRs). Funds to support travel to professional conferences are also available.

The most common form of support for Ph.D. students is a half-time (20 hours per week) GSR that provides a salary, plus tuition and fees.

Departmental financial support is generally not offered to students at the M.S. level.
