As part of the planning & controls team, you are responsible for ensuring that the robot
behaves intelligently and inspires confidence as it moves through an uncertain and
dynamic world. You are responsible for creating algorithms which allow for introspection
and adaptation, and their transfer to other systems.

What you'll do:
- Research, design, and implement algorithms & systems for autonomous high-level
decision making, exploration strategies, and path planning
- Leverage and improve upon simulation to aid in design of new algorithms
- Develop and improve analysis tools to allow for rapid turnaround
- Work with the user-services team to create magical human-robot interactions
People we're looking for:
+ A demonstrated passion for solving complex problems with little supervision in a
fast-moving team
+ A team player with strong communication skills and the ability to lead & inspire others
+ High proficiency in c++ and latest standards
+ Experience with state-of-the-art algorithms in at least one of the following areas: [i]
autonomous high-level decision making in uncertain & dynamic environments (e.g.
graph traversal, dynamic programming, partially observable Markov decision
processes), [ii] information-theoretic-based perception and exploration, [iii] multi-agent
systems
Other preferred experience:
+ Familiarity with some of the following: Python, Julia, Matlab, Simulink
+ Experience in a collaborative development environment, including paradigms such as
continuous integration & delivery, test-driven development, etc.
+ M.S. in computer science/related quantitative science and/or 2+ years professional
experience in robotics, autonomous vehicles
